Celebrating apprentices on National Apprentice week!

Share

This week Anwyl Partnerships is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2020, a government lead initiative that aims to celebrate diversity in apprenticeships and the benefits they bring.

Apprenticeships have long played an important role in the Anwyl Partnerships business and across the wider Anwyl Group, through a retained commitment to the training and development of young people, coupled with the creation of sustainable employment opportunities.

Currently Anwyl Partnerships employ 13 apprentices across various parts of the organisation including skilled trades such as joinery, technical/design, site management and accounting. Whilst additionally encouraging and creating new apprenticeship opportunities amongst their supply chain partners, forming a large part of their commitment to local employment when delivering a project.

Ensuring that we have the right people, resources and skills to continue to deliver quality projects is vital to our business moving forward.

We recognise the importance of supporting young people who are keen to get into the world of work but still aspire to gain higher level qualifications. Providing apprenticeship opportunities allows these young people to explore a path to learning that successfully combines hands on, practical and classroom based learning.

Apprentices are incredibly important to so many businesses and organisations and this week gives us the opportunity to celebrate our own team and the wider initiative.

– Tom Anwyl, Managing Director of Anwyl Partnerships explained.

Now in its 13th year, this year National Apprenticeship Week is promoting the theme, ‘Look Beyond’ which celebrates the diversity in apprenticeships today.

Adam Bragg is an apprentice based at the companies head quarters in Flintshire and is currently studying for his AAT level 2, ready to progress to level 3 later in 2020 with the view to complete the qualification in July 2022.

I joined Anwyl as an Accounts Apprentice following completing my work experience here last June. I’m really enjoying working and being part of the team whilst getting lots of experience and gaining my qualifications in this field. I hope my apprenticeship will set me up for a long lasting and successful career.
