Wirral’s Barncroft Extra Care scheme, built by Anwyl Partnerships, has been shortlisted in the Sheltered Housing Scheme of the Year category at this year’s Northern Housing Awards.
Developed in partnership with Magneta Living, the Extra Care development in Pensby, Wirral is made up of 21 modern apartments, built around a range of internal and external communal spaces including facilities to help maintain social interaction and to support the wellbeing of residents. A sensory garden designed to improve quality of life for people with dementia is just one of the scheme’s outstanding features.
The project will be included as part of the annual prestigious award ceremony, that will this year be held as a virtual event on the 13th May.
