Summary

The regeneration of the former Boars Head pub in Ewloe, Flintshire, for social housing provider, ClwydAlyn, to create 28 one and two bedroom apartments for over 55’s, as well as three houses for families. Anwyl Construction negotiated a full turnkey package solution with ClwydAlyn, comprising acquisition of land, securing planning permission and carrying out all construction works.

Project Information

Demolition of the former pub took place several months ago, followed by enabling works in preparation for construction work. The former Boars Head public house had lain empty for several years and had become an eyesore for local people. The regeneration of the site comes with much anticipation within the local community to see the development come to completion in late Autumn 2020.

Craig Sparrow, Executive Director of Development for ClwydAlyn commented:

We are delighted to be involved with this exciting project and have worked so closely with Anwyl Construction to secure this opportunity. Local people have fond memories of the former pub and the happy times it no doubt provided. We do though hope that the creation of such a quality development for a mix of ages will provide more happy memories long into the future.

During the course of the development Anwyl will be working with ClwydAlyn to provide positive outcomes for the local community, including; training, employment and community initiatives.
