Anwyl Partnerships, specialists in the provision of residential land and build developments, has been awarded its largest construction contract to date, a £24million affordable housing and extra care development in Wirral, Merseyside.

North West growth and regeneration group, Torus, is redeveloping the site of the former Rock Ferry High School to create 84 homes for shared ownership and rent, as well as a 102 apartment extra care facility.

Initial construction work will begin on site in the coming months and is set for completion Spring 2022. The large 20-acre site will also see the redevelopment of the existing Grade two listed former school building, Ravenswood House.

This is a fantastic contract to be awarded and marks our largest value project to date.

Being appointed to deliver this scheme provides a true reflection of our sector expertise, it also demonstrates our scale, capabilities and resources. We’re incredibly pleased to have secured this contract and look forward to working with Torus, on what will be our second construction partnership. We will also be working with our trusted supply chain, whilst engaging with the wider community as construction gathers momentum.

– Tom Anwyl, Managing Director of Anwyl Partnerships commented.

The development will regenerate a brownfield site, and support wider regeneration plans in the area, to provide much needed affordable homes.

Torus has years of experience revitalising areas and working in conjunction with local people and partners to affect positive change for residents and wider communities.

This project will be transformative for Rock Ferry and Wirral and showcases our commitment to ambitious developments that offer high quality, affordable housing options exactly where they’re needed.

We’re pleased to continue working with Anwyl Partnerships who will be completing our Harpers Green Extra Care Scheme in Warrington this summer.
